Sheltered from the storm

“Desde el extremo de la tierra clamaré a ti; cuando mi corazón desmayare. Lévame a la roca que es más alta que yo, porque tú has sido mi refugio y torre fuerte delante del enemigo." — Salmo 61:2-3

Autumn clearing

You’re high up, and I’m down low.

One thing I know for sure and it’s this:

Nothing takes You by surprise…

That I spoke utter foolishness while growing up and how I wish I could speak new things; like how great You are, the greatest in the whole universe which fits in Your hand.

That I can see your Spirit move in others that cause me to turn my eyes towards Yours and behold, how I treasure You… my only One.

That I find You everywhere I turn to.

That I love You.

Is it alright for me to say it and have it be true?

How I want it to, because I do.

I love You.

That looking at You is worth it all, I understand now the yearning of one day spent in Your presence before thousands far.

That real life is at Your right hand.

No kingdom could I long for outside from Yours, nothing better could I have craved than knowing Your name, or understanding Your heart.

How You love me, for You’ve taught mine how to beat with the same art.

That I can play, laugh and look around and find You.

That I’d rather find You for a whole lifetime…

That I love what You did best, over everything I thought I could’ve been.

That You looked at me from Your places on high,

That You are Light,

And that I was saved by Your hand.
